I have seen Notebook myself, and I and alot of my friends as well, believe that the two movies are entirely different because they are based on completely different storylines. And as for TZP, yes it is handsdown the best movie of recent times, but you should not be saying so comparing it. U Me Aur Hum and TZP are completely different movies, so comparison between them does not make any sense. But yes, I am with you in this one, TZP is the best. See if you're going to the theatre thinking that it is just another feel good love story, then yes, you might be disappointed, because U ME AUR HUM is much more than JUST a love story. If you thought that the emotions the movie portrayed after Kajol was diagnosed with the disease are anything but "LOVE" feelings, then you need a reality check. Samar, I respectfully disagree. Race was bad, this is about the same. There's no flow, and things are just thrown in to make the movie. Of course, after Taare Zameen Par this is just plain horrible. But even not comparing with TZP, this whole movie is a waste of time, I felt. They could have done a whole lot better to show the bridging of gap between two people who love each other. That "love" feeling doesn't come, and we as the viewer can't even relate to Ajay. Kajol looks gorgeous though, probably that's the saving grace of his movie. i think this is a really sappy movie. Ajay and Kajol are great actors and will definitely be nominated for the best actor and acttress category. Great movie for couples to watch together. Marriages are made in heaven but to make them last on Earth, we need unconditional love and like Americans say, for health and in sickness you have to stand by your mate. The movie reinforces the lesson in a beautiful way. Keep the tissue box close by. Loved the movie. Ajay has transformed himself well here, after doing some action movies. I found the theme of the movie very impressive, but I feel it has gone wrong somewhere. The flow gets disturbed, especially with the songs when they come from nowhere, but that is a norm in Bollywood.
